I bought Brick Works 15 x 20 inch base plate so he has more stability when building. You can never go wrong with Legos. Had them for my kids 30 years ago and now buying for my grandchildren.

    What happened to the LEGO quality? I sure wanted to love the Super Heroes (and the characters are good quality) but the blocks are not the standard I have come to expect with LEGO. The blocks are a thinner plastic (when you squeeze them they give), the feel is different from the other ones and they do not stay together when you build something with them. I am quite disappointed with these ones.
