I’m not going to say anything about pricing, because I got this set as a gift. The build experience is slightly repetitive because of the mirrored wings, but that’s to be expected for a ship. The mini figure selection is OK, except for Jedi Bob, who is a legend. It is a very visually striking ship design wise, and is slightly larger than Obi-wan’s starfighter from a few years back. It is, however, downright skeletal underneath, and extremely light. My other problem with it is that it only has front landing gear, which comes across as a bit lazy. However, if you’re willing to spend an hour or two to beef up the bottom and add some landing gear, I think this can easily become a stunning ship. A good start with one great minifigure, just begging for a little modification.

You must have it in your basic collection. Lego is known for having excellent quality items and this set of Jedi Bob's starfighter is no exception. An excellent gift for Christmas, birthdays and more.

I got this and built it pretty quickly when it released. It was a fun build and I got some wacky mini figures out of it. It’s a great take on a Jedi Star fighter for those who enjoy Star Wars Lego for what it is. If you’re a grandparent thinking of getting this set for a grandchild, maybe make sure they want it first as it is kind of a love note to older Star Wars Lego fans. But overall I highly enjoyed this set.

Full disclosure, I'm a Trekkie. For me, this kit is a sloppy fit with a lazy design pertaining to parts selection and fitment. I guess if hiding random colored blocks and a banana in a flimsy overpriced theme soecific based model is your thing and being challenged, entertained for hours, to be rewarded with an exciting finished product isn't important, by all means, pony up....it's your money You be you.

A whole set to honour the legendary Jedi Bob is such a welcome treat. The character has a weird cult following after randomly appearing in an old LEGO Star Wars set, and this was an absolute must buy for me. The little compartment holding the banana and milk carton really capture the silly feel of the LEGO animated special, and I think this is a great set to have even if you didn't care for that animated special or haven't watched it. What's not a welcome treat, however, is the price. I fully understand that an increased piece pool means things use more pieces and look much better as a result, but a lot of Star Wars sets in the last few years make up for this by making things a little smaller, yet unfortunately, Jedi Starfighters and speeders have stayed the same size. This starfighter actually happens to be larger than all my other (delta-7?) starfighters that I own, though maybe this is a special exception since it's based off of an animated D+ special. Regardless, if it weren't for Jedi Bob, I probably would've skipped this set.

I got this set because I am a Star Wars nerd and longtime Lego fan, and I NEED Star Wars stuff. My room is literally Star Wars and a handful of other stuff. This set is very cool and the starfighter is a fun build and good to display. However, I have one issue with the set: what is an Ackbar trooper? It’s a Mon Calamari in a clone armor suit…? And admiral Ackbar is a single character, not a race. He’s Mon Calamari as well. Now, I’m just plain confused what this figure is.

He said it wasn't too challenging to put together. It took him maybe 5 hours from start to finish. The directions were perfectly clear, and all the numbered bags made it easy to follow. I would definitely buy him more....andni have since for Chirstmas.

Missing pieces...again! My daughter likes to do Legos. Her delorean, which was very expensive, was missing pieces. Her Star Wars lego is missing pieces, and another set was missing pieces. A little ridiculous!

He told me that there were a couple points in the instructions that he was confused with, but overall he didn’t have a ton of trouble getting it together. The pieces (like most standard LEGO products) are small and it’s not suitable for young children or anyone prone to sticking random things in their mouth.
